[Pint of Science] What role does research play in creating more responsible cosmetics?
Valentin Bardoula and Marie Paquet addressed this question during an evening event of the Pint of Science festival in Lille.
The Pint of Science Festival took place from 19 to 21 May 2025. Evening events featuring scientific speakers were organized with the aim of making certain research topics more accessible to the general public.
On 21 May, Valentin Bardoula and Marie Paquet, working within the HT-SmartFormu unit, spoke for more than two hours about more responsible cosmetics. During this interactive evening, they explained to the audience what a cosmetic product is, how it is designed, and the current developments in this field. The audience took part in the evening through a quiz and discussions about their own daily use of cosmetic products.
