20 Students Attended the RX 2025 Training
Over the course of 5 days, the RX training brought together 20 participants. The students attended both theoretical lessons and practical lab sessions at the Chevreul Institute.
The instructors from the department took turns teaching them about “the use of X-ray diffraction – from structure to microstructure” through a series of courses covering:
- X-ray–matter interaction, from scattering to diffraction
- X-ray diffraction equipment, from the source to the detector
- What structural information can be extracted from a powder XRD pattern?
- Quantification using the Rietveld method
- Introduction to the Match and Jana2020 software programs
- Introduction to X-ray scattering: SAXS
- …
The courses were led by Pascal Roussel, Frédéric Capet, Lydia Karmazin, Natacha Henry, Laurence Burylo, Catherine Renard, and Grégory Stoclet.
