The Michel-Eugène Chevreul Institute is a Support and Research Unit (UAR2638) associated with three Research Units working in the field of Chemistry and Materials, located on the Villeneuve d’Ascq science campus.

The three supported Units are UCCS, UMET, and LASIRE. The role of the Institute is to bring together and coordinate joint initiatives and to increase the visibility of the activities carried out.

The Institute manages the University’s Advanced Characterization Platform (PCA), which brings together state-of-the-art equipment for the chemical and structural analysis of materials and chemical products.

The Institute also contributes to the structuring of the Engineering Platform for Chemistry and Materials (PTICM). Both platforms are widely open to academic research and to partnerships with industry.
